How to Connect Streamlabs to Twitch
Streamlabs made it easy to begin streaming with their MASSIVE variety of overlays, alert boxes, and stream labels for your stream. The ONLY thing that other streaming services have over Streamlabs is the CPU usage. Streamlabs uses about 12% of my CPU vs traditional OBS using about 5-6%. I was happy to get their lifetime deal and likely one of the better LTD purchases I have done. But seeing their quality, I can also recommend using it while you’d be on monthly subscriptions.
This is your place to experiment and try things you might never have tried in a normal gig environment, have fun with it. You can stream to Twitch directly from your phone, but most people use a thing called OBS to do it from computers. OBS is an https://www.metadialog.com/ amazing FREE software where you can build up a stream with different sources (e.g. a camera, an audio interface, image files overlaid.) There’s lots of brilliant OBS tutorials on YouTube. It can be quite intimidating, but well worth diving in to.

After having been using SLOBS for some time, I’ve grown to really appreciate both the simple to use UI and the chatbot offered by streamlabs. Great resources for those starting to get into doing twitch with some degree of seriousness. The best thing that I liked with this software is that it is light on your system. It does not use too much resources giving me the best live streaming experience. It has also a great HUD where I find it very useful and easy to manage.
- Need to be able to trigger another application, then setup an external command to launch it for you.

- This time, copy the id from the JSON that you want to delete and paste it into the id field in the “Try this API” section.
- What still makes me nervous these days is when the author of the work I am editing onscreen comes into the stream.
- There is a wide community of writers and editors on the platform; accountability or coworking streams are a large part of Twitch.
If your visitors routinely engage in abusive conduct or comments, you may lose your channel, even if you are unaware of the toxic comments in your chat. Collaborating with LuciaEverblack and ShineyPen, Raven launched #ADayOffTwitch campaign as a complete platform blackout for 24 hours on September 1, with no streaming, watching or chatting by creators or viewers. It hosts 91 percent of all gaming streams and more than 30 million viewers a day—2 million of whom will be at any given time of day. If you’re worried that no one will watch your stream, you’re not alone. 60% of the people who took part in one of our events said they felt this way before going live, with almost all of them saying they’re happy they took the plunge. Alright, enough about overlays, what about a chat bot?
InstructBot is a versatile, well designed and implemented piece of software that enables your viewers to control what happens in game. It is the single most audience engaging thing I have come across to date. With even more features coming in the near future – this looks like something which could enrich and redefine streaming for a lot of people, new or old to Twitch. However, to use all the features Streamlabs offers, you must first link it to your Twitch account. One of the things that makes Twitch special to my eyes is that at the end of a stream the streamer can take their audience with them to another stream (this is called a ‘raid’).
Understanding and managing your Twitch Chat Log is critical for ensuring a great chat experience and preventing bad apples from wreaking havoc.
